Two diameters in millimetres, which is the whole point

Seven plugs sit on this shelf and one of them publishes both dimensions that decide fit in the unit a cable is measured in. The conductor window is 0.97 to 1.07 mm. The sheath ceiling is 5.8 mm. Together they are a complete geometric answer: if the cable in your hand measures inside both, the plug closes on it.

That completeness is rarer here than it should be. Three plugs publish an outside diameter at all. Two publish a conductor diameter in millimetres. This is the only one that does both, and it does them in the first bullet rather than in the small print.

Unshielded, said outright

Every other plug on this shelf claims a screen. This one says it terminates unshielded cable, and that is a specification rather than an omission.

A screened plug has a metal body that has to bond to the screen in the cable, and fitted to unscreened cable it achieves precisely nothing while costing more and taking longer to fit. The reverse is also true: an unscreened plug on screened cable throws the screen away at the plug, which is the point where continuity most often breaks. Knowing which one you are holding is the first question, and this is the one listing here that answers it in the affirmative for the cheaper case.

The title and the second bullet, disagreeing

The title sells the plug for solid wire. The second bullet sells it for solid or stranded, and names a three-point contact as the reason it manages both. Those are two different claims on one page, and nothing reconciles them.

The wider claim is reported here because it is the more specific and because it names a mechanism, but the disagreement is not something to smooth over. A buyer terminating a stranded patch lead is relying on the bullet and not on the title, and a hundred plugs is a large quantity to be wrong about.

Before ordering

Confirm you own a tool that trims pass-through plugs before ordering a hundred of them, because an ordinary crimping tool cannot finish one properly. Then measure the cable against both published numbers rather than one: the conductor between 0.97 and 1.07 mm, the sheath at or under 5.8 mm. And if you are working with screened cable, this is not the plug for it, whatever the category says.
