The second bullet describes the method: feed the wires through the plug and clamp them. The fifth counts the packet at a hundred connectors.

What is on the packet, and what decides a purchase

Five bullets, and not one number that a cable can be checked against. There is no conductor gauge. There is no conductor diameter in millimetres. There is no outside diameter for the sheath. There is no statement of whether the contacts are made for solid cores or for stranded bundles.

Those four lines are what this hub compares plugs on, because they are what decides whether a plug and a cable go together. Six of the seven listings here answer at least one of them. This is the only one that answers none.

Why the missing construction is the expensive one

Contacts for solid conductors and contacts for stranded conductors are shaped differently — one holds a single core, the other pierces a bundle. Fit the wrong pair together and the link works. It works on a tester, it works on the bench, it works for a week, and it fails the first time the cable is pulled, which is normally after the cabinet has been closed and the ceiling tile put back.

That is the single most expensive error this shelf produces, and the only defence against it is a line of printing. This listing does not carry that line.

A category is not a compatibility statement

The one specification here is Cat 6, repeated in four bullets. It is a real fact and it is not the fact needed: the plug on this shelf that refuses AWG23 installation cable refuses it while accepting Cat 7 patch cable, because the thing that stopped the fit was the gauge and not the category.
