The material is not the same as copper. It is aluminium with a copper skin, and it differs in resistance, in weight and in how it behaves where it is clamped or crimped. Nothing on this page argues either way about that, and this page will not argue it either: what it will say is that a buyer who reads this listing knows what is in the cable, and a buyer reading two of the others does not.

600 megahertz, four pairs, foil

The specification is stated in one place and stated clearly: bandwidth to 600 MHz, four twisted pairs, aluminium foil around them, EMI and RFI given as the reason. That is more than the STP shorthand two cords here offer.

What it does not resolve is the letter code. SFTP without a stroke leaves it open whether there is a screen around the bundle in addition to the foil on each pair, and the bullet describes only the pair foils. On a link where the screen has to be continuous and earthed, that is the difference between something to bond and nothing to bond.

The plugs, described by colour

Red plugs on a black cord, offered as an aid to picking the right lead out of a bundle.
