Two windows, and why that is the right way round

Every other listing in this hub gives one conductor range or none. This one gives two, and labels each with the construction it belongs to. Solid installation cable: AWG26/1 to AWG22/1. Stranded patch conductors: AWG26/7 to AWG24/7.

The two ranges are not the same, and that is the point. The stranded window is narrower at the thick end by two gauges, because a stranded conductor of a given gauge is a bundle rather than a wire and it sits differently in the blades of an insulation-displacement contact. A single combined range would have hidden that, and a buyer with a drum of thick stranded cable would have read a gauge as accepted when it was not.

This is the distinction the whole shelf turns on, published properly, by one listing out of six.

Snapped shut rather than punched down

Termination here is toolless in the strict sense: the conductors are laid across the strip and the cover is closed onto them, which drives them into the contacts as it shuts. Two bullets describe it, and the second says explicitly that no tools are needed and that installation cable is simply clamped into the module.

That is the difference between finishing a run at the top of a ladder and coming down for a punch-down tool. The trade is repeatability — a tool applies the same force every time, and a hand does not — and on the smaller categories the toolless approach has largely won that argument.

Three PoE tiers, named without their standards

PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ appear in the third bullet, and no listing on this shelf names more. What is absent is the standards reference that would let a buyer match a powered device to it: the tiers are named, the numbered standards behind them are not.

Then check the back box or the panel bay for depth, since the packet publishes none, and count what else the job needs: the modules arrive on their own, and the plate, the frame and the panel are all bought separately.
