Twelve modules in the same box

A keystone panel is normally two purchases. The frame arrives empty, the modules arrive separately, and the second delivery is where the count goes wrong.

This one arrives populated. The fifth bullet is a contents list, and it has twelve modules in it.

That matters more than it sounds, because keystone modules are not interchangeable in practice even when they look it: the depth behind the plate, the screening arrangement and the termination style all vary, and a frame bought from one maker and modules bought from another is a gamble taken twelve times. Here it is one order and one design.

The width that is never named

Now the awkward part, and it is in the same bullet.

The panel is given as roughly 220 × 110 × 44 mm. The 44 mm is a rack unit, which agrees with the 1U in the title. The 220 mm is the width, and it matches neither of the two rack conventions the other listings on this shelf name — a 19-inch panel is around 483 mm and a 10-inch panel is around 254 mm.

No bullet anywhere names a mounting standard. This page reports the dimension as printed and does not deduce a rack from it, because a panel that does not span the rails is not a panel that fits badly — it is one that cannot be fitted at all.

The 360-degree screening, and the footprint that comes with it

The first bullet gives the modules a 360-degree screen and then does something helpful: it publishes their footprint, 14.5 × 16 mm, and calls it a standard size.

That figure is what makes a replacement possible in five years. A screened module that fails, or a port that needs to become a fibre coupler, can be matched against a dimension rather than against a photograph.
