Sold as the matched pair a bidirectional link cannot work without
Elfcam matched pair of bidirectional 10G SFP+, SC simplex, OS2, 20 km stated
The dearest listing on this shelf and the only one that ships a complete link: two bidirectional modules with their wavelengths already reversed, on SC connectors where everything else here uses LC or RJ45.
Specifications
- Module form factor
- SFP+ — stated in the title, supplied as one pair of two modules rather than as a single transceiver
- Module rate
- 10 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps and 1.25 Gbps — three rates stated in the second bullet, with 10 Gb, 2,5 Gb and 1,25 Gb also named in the title
- Optical or copper medium
- Optical — the first and second bullets name a single-mode simplex SC fibre port of 9/125 µm
- Fibre type
- Single-mode, 9/125 µm — stated in the title and again in the first, second and fourth bullets. The grade is given as OS2 in the title and in the first and fourth bullets, which makes this one of only two optical modules on this shelf to name a grade at all
- Stated reach
- Up to 20 km — given in the first bullet as 20 KM and in the fourth as a transmission distance of up to 20 km with a single-mode simplex 9/125 µm OS2 SC cable
- Connector type
- SC simplex — stated in the title and in the first bullet. It is the only SC module on this shelf; the other six take LC or RJ45
- Wavelength
- TX 1270 nm with RX 1330 nm on one module and TX 1330 nm with RX 1270 nm on the other — stated in the first and second bullets. That reversal is what makes the pair a pair, and it is the reason the two modules are not interchangeable with each other
- Vendor coding stated
- Coded for Cisco SFP-10G-BXD-I and SFP-10G-BXU-I — the downstream and upstream halves named separately — with Ubiquiti Networks UF-SM-10G-S, Huawei, D-Link, Ruijie and open switches added in the third bullet, which prints Huawei twice
- Operating temperature range
- Not published on the listing — no range appears in any bullet. The fifth offers a warranty and a repair service centre in Paris in its place, and the sentence that should give the warranty length has no number in it: it reads as a warranty period of years, with the figure missing
- Amazon reference
- B0DBLFC335 (same reference on 6 Amazon marketplaces)
- EAN
- 3701528726041
On the listing
A pair of bidirectional ten-gigabit SFP+ transceivers, one transmitting at 1270 nm and receiving at 1330 nm and the other the reverse, with SC single-mode simplex ports of 9/125 µm on OS2 fibre, DDM, and a transmission distance of up to 20 km; rates given as 10 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps and 1.25 Gbps; a fibre connection type of SC/APC and SC/UPC; compatibility for Cisco SFP-10G-BXD-I and SFP-10G-BXU-I, Ubiquiti Networks UF-SM-10G-S, Huawei, D-Link, Ruijie and open switches; and a warranty returnable to a repair service centre in Paris, in a sentence whose duration figure is missing.
One strand, two wavelengths, two modules
This is the only listing in this hub that sells a link rather than an end of one.
A bidirectional transceiver is deliberately asymmetric: it speaks on one wavelength and listens on another, so that the module at the far end can do the opposite and both can share the same strand of glass. Point two identical ones at each other and nothing happens at all.
The other bidirectional module on this shelf is sold on its own, with no word about where its mirror image comes from. This one arrives as a pair, wavelengths already reversed, which turns a two-part problem into a single order. Over 20 km, on a duct with one spare strand in it, that is the entire proposition.
SC where the rest of this shelf uses LC
Six modules here take LC or RJ45. This one takes SC — the larger square connector, common on provider equipment.
That is a fact to check against the fibre before it is a preference. A run already terminated in LC does not accept an SC module without new connectors or an adapter, and an adapter is another pair of faces for light to cross. The listing is clear about what it wants: SC, simplex, single-mode, 9/125 µm, OS2.
What it is not clear about is the polish. The second bullet names SC/APC and SC/UPC together, which are two different faces that cannot be mated to one another, and never says which arrives.
The warranty sentence with no number in it
The fifth bullet promises that a technical fault occurring within the warranty period of years may be returned to a repair centre in Paris.
The figure is simply absent — a sentence built to carry a number, delivered without one. Nothing is being hidden; something has been lost between drafting and printing. But a warranty length is a commitment, and a commitment with the duration missing is not one this page can report as a fact. The service address is real and specific; the term it applies to is not on the page.
Before ordering
Confirm the connector at both ends of the existing fibre, because SC is the outlier on this shelf and an adapter costs light. Ask which polish is fitted, since the page names two that cannot meet. Then ask what the warranty period actually is — the sentence is there, the number is not.
