The fifth credits the pass-through action with an exact connection and with preventing accidental contact between conductors, and says beginners can learn to crimp quickly with it.

A matched pair in one box

Pass-through is a two-part purchase, and this is the only listing on this shelf that makes both parts arrive together. The tool trims the conductors flush at the front of the plug as it crimps. The plug is the one with holes in the front for those conductors to come through. Neither is any use without the other.

Everywhere else in this hub the two are separated: one kit states pass-through capability and supplies plugs it never calls pass-through, and three kits state nothing about the capability at all. Here the twenty plugs in the bag are named pass-through and given a category as well.

Positions printed, functions not

The second bullet does one thing well and one thing badly. It prints 8P8C, 6P6C and 4P4C, which says exactly what the dies are cut for and which four listings on this shelf never manage. Then it calls the tool three-in-one and never says what the three jobs are.

That second omission empties two lines of this comparison. A separate stripping tool and a separate wire cutter are in the bag, which is a partial answer — the work can be done, just not necessarily in one hand — and it is not the same as knowing whether the crimping tool strips.

The punch-down tool, named

Three kits on this shelf include a punch-down tool. Two of them call it an insertion tool and leave it there. This one names the LSA Plus blade family, which is a specification a module or a panel can be checked against rather than a category of object.

That kind of precision is the difference between a bag of tools and a set of tools. It costs the seller one word.

Fifty microns on the plugs

The plating thickness on the plug contacts is quoted in the third bullet, and it is one of only two figures of that kind anywhere in this lot. A thickness resists wear across insertions and slows corrosion; the bare word gold says nothing about either. Whether fifty microns is generous or ordinary is not something this page will pronounce on, but a number can be compared and an adjective cannot.

Check the first bullet for yourself before buying: the phrase describing the twenty plugs is broken in the middle, and what survives of it says pass-through, Cat7 and Cat6a. If the categories matter for your cable, get them confirmed. Then note what the kit does not describe — no ratchet, no named functions on the crimping tool — and decide whether a matched pass-through set and a named punch-down tool are what you came for.
