Add them up and the total is twelve, which is the figure the third bullet gives. The two counts on the page agree with each other, and that is worth remarking on: a pack list and a headline count that disagree is a common enough fault.

The itemisation is what makes this pack plannable. A corner turned outwards needs a different piece from a corner turned inwards, and finding out which one is missing happens at the worst moment — halfway along a wall with the adhesive already down. Reading the list first means the run is designed before the box is opened.
