ZYXEL

Zyxel offers cloud management and short bullets

Two Zyxel units

The NWA50AXPRO access point and the GS-108B v5 switch.

The access point

A Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 access point with a 2.5 Gbit/s uplink that runs over existing Cat5e cable, three internal antennas, and NebulaFlex management, which lets it be run locally or from Zyxel’s cloud. The page says PoE without naming the class, which decides which switch or injector can power it.

The switch

An unmanaged eight-port gigabit switch in a metal case, for a table or a wall, with QoS ports. Its Amazon.com bullets are five short lines and none carries a figure: no capacity, no power draw, and “silent” rather than fanless. Amazon.com listed it on October 26, 2026 without a current offer that passed our price check.

ZYXEL GS-108B v5, eight-port unmanaged gigabit switch

eight gigabit sockets · unmanaged · QoS ports · metal case · table or wall · no capacity, cooling or power figure

An unmanaged eight-port gigabit switch in a metal case whose Amazon.com bullets are five short lines — plug and go, QoS ports, table or wall, metal, silent and green — with no figure behind any of them.

Best for: A small unmanaged switch on a desk or a wall, for a buyer who will look up Zyxel's own specification sheet for the figures.

ZYXEL NWA50AXPRO, Wi-Fi 6 access point with a 2.5G uplink

Wi-Fi 6 · AX3000 · 2.5 Gbit/s uplink on Cat5e · three internal antennas · NebulaFlex, local or cloud · PoE class not named

An access point with a multi-gigabit uplink and a choice of local or cloud management, whose listing says PoE without ever naming the class.

Best for: A small building already wired with Cat5e that wants an uplink faster than a gigabit and the option of cloud management later.

What each ZYXEL review concluded

ZYXEL GS-108B v5 — A metal, unmanaged, wall-mountable switch described in five short lines.
ZYXEL NWA50AXPRO — Strong where the money goes — a multi-gigabit uplink on existing cable and management that costs nothing extra — and blank on the two lines an installer checks first, the PoE class and the bracket.
