ASUS specifies the radio and leaves the chassis blank
A two-node tri-band Wi-Fi 7 set, a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router and a Type-C network adapter.
The router prints an 802.11 designation, which almost nothing else in its family does, and publishes both band rates beneath a badge that rounds them up. The mesh set publishes a 6 GHz band, an area, the internal antennas and the front-end modules behind them.
Neither wireless unit counts an Ethernet socket, on a set quoted at up to 14 Gbit/s. The adapter runs on four short bullets: it names 2.5-gigabit Ethernet and a Type-C plug, and leaves out the host rate, the driver situation, the operating systems and the housing material. On a shelf where the chip is the difference between a download and a search, that is a great deal to leave to the name on the box.
