What is a dedicated backhaul band?

A radio band used only for the traffic between the router and its satellites, so client devices do not share it. The Orbi names one; the BT8 relies on its 2.5-gigabit cable ports or shares its radios.

Does 14 Gbit/s beat 11 Gbit/s?

Only on paper: both are sums of theoretical peaks across three radios, and no single device reaches either.
