Intenso

Intenso publishes both speeds and the refurbishment

Two Intenso drives

The M.2 SSD PCIe Premium 1 TB and a 1 TB portable hard drive, both sold on Amazon.com.

The NVMe drive

The only PCIe Gen 3 drive on the NVMe shelf: Gen 3 ×4, NVMe 1.3, M.2 2280, 2,100 MB/s reading and 1,700 MB/s writing. It publishes no endurance rating, MTBF or warranty term. In a Gen 3 slot it runs at full speed; in a Gen 4 slot, the Gen 4 drives on the shelf cost little more for over three times the read speed.

The portable drive

A 1 TB 2.5-inch drive, declared refurbished, tested by Intenso in Vechta, Germany, and fitted in a new enclosure. It states USB 3.2 Gen 1 at 5 Gbps, 85 MB/s reading and 75 MB/s writing, and its size — which is more than many new portable drives publish.

SATA SSDs

Intenso Top 1 TB, a shock figure, a written total and no term

1 TB · 2.5-inch · SATA III at 6 Gbps · up to 550 MB/s read · up to 500 MB/s write · TBW rating of up to 480 TB · 2 million hours MTBF · shock resistance to 1500 G · no warranty term

A one-terabyte drive that publishes both sequential figures, a written total, a population statistic and a shock figure with its duration, and that names no warranty term at all.

Best for: A notebook or a desktop machine that is knocked about, where a shock rating and a written total matter and the term will be checked with the seller.

What each Intenso review concluded

Intenso Top 1 TB — One of the two pages in this group that publish both a written total and a population statistic, with both sequential figures and a properly formed shock rating besides.
Intenso M.2 SSD PCIe Premium 1 TB — A plain Gen 3 drive with its two speeds and its format stated, and nothing on endurance or warranty.
Intenso 1 TB Portable Drive — An honest refurbished 1 TB pocket drive with published speeds, at $82.58.
