A one-terabyte drive that publishes a term, a named write acceleration mechanism and three encryption standards by name, and that never quantifies writing or endurance.

Three standards, named

The fifth bullet names three published encryption standards. That is the most specific claim on this page and one of the most specific in the lot. A workplace policy is normally written against exactly those names, so a drive that lists them can be checked against a requirement instead of argued about. It costs the page nothing and it is worth more than another rate would have been.

Accelerating writing, without a writing figure

The first bullet is about how quickly the drive accepts data, and no figure for accepting data appears anywhere on the page. Part of the flash is used one bit per cell to take writes fast and empties afterwards, which is a real mechanism and a good one to name. It describes the opening of a copy. What the copy settles to, and what the peak is in the first place, are both unstated.

The questions that come up before an order

What does hardware encryption to a named standard give that a password does not?

It puts the encryption in the drive rather than in the operating system, so the data on the flash is unreadable without the key even if the drive is removed and fitted elsewhere. Naming the published standards matters because a workplace policy is usually written against those names rather than against a promise of security. This page names three of them, which is unusually specific for this shelf.

Is dynamic write acceleration the same as a cache?

It is a way of using one. Part of the flash is written one bit per cell, which is quick, and the drive moves that data into the slower three-bit arrangement afterwards. How much of the flash is used that way can change with how full the drive is, which is what the word dynamic refers to. It is not a separate memory chip, and the page does not claim one.
